Print: The Official Gay & Lesbian Guide for Visit London

With our knowledge of London’s gay scene and our history producing travel guides for Thomas Cook, Warwick seemed the natural choice to produce The Official Gay and Lesbian Guide for Visit London, the capital’s tourist body.

Including exclusive celebrity recommendations, mini-tours and comprehensive listings of restaurants, bars, hotels and shopping, the guide was a smash hit success. Visit London were so delighted they even threw a party!

Building Communities: Artist Sites

Running forums is one of the most important aspects of any website. What's the point of putting up a messageboard if it's not managed, not busy or no one reacts to the users' comments or opinions?

We not only make the sites sticky but make sure the forums and messageboards are too. We run exclusive competitions, validate users' comments, reviews and ideas elsewhere on the sites and use the forums to commission user-generated content.

Take a look at a couple of user-generated content examples here:

Out Around

We originated the format for Thomas Cook Publishing's pioneering travel guides aimed at gay travellers. The idea was to dejunk guidebooks, throwing out the bumf that this discerning demographic wouldn't be interested in; Warwick flew to New York and San Francisco to originate the content.
In spring 2006, Warwick updated all the guidebooks for their second print run.

Queer: The Ultimate User's Guide

We took Unanimous Ltd’s brief and ran with it, creating a compelling mainstream take on gay culture that covered everything from the religious right to lesbian pirates to Madonna. Boy George wrote the foreword.
For die-hard gayers who've missed out, you can still buy the book here.
